Sophie is a registered and endorsed clinical psychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Monash University. She is currently undertaking training to become an AHPRA board approved supervisor. Sophie is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a Fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
Sophie has a wide range of experience working in clinical and counselling roles across public and private settings. She has worked with both paediatric and adult clients in acute and rehabilitative hospitals, educational/student well-being services, and private practise.
Sophie predominantly works with adults. She is a warm and empathic clinician who believes a strong, secure therapeutic relationship is central to her work. Sophie believes we all have the inner resources to thrive and that we are far more than what we have experienced. She utilises various evidence-based treatment modalities to meet the individual needs of her clients, with a particular interest in schema therapy, acceptance and commitment (mindfulness-based) therapy (ACT), and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
